Website Conversion Audit (CRO)

Let's Find Out Why Your Site Isn't Converting

You are already paying to get people to your website. We find the moments that make them leave, hesitate, or fail to take action, then give you a prioritized plan to fix them.

Conversion Rate Optimization done right.

Clear findings and a practical test plan in about 5 to 7 business days.

The Problem

More traffic will not fix a page that is losing people.

You can have good ads, solid rankings, and real interest, then still watch potential customers disappear before they call, book, buy, or fill out the form. That is not always a traffic problem. Often, it is a website problem hiding in plain sight.

We look for the friction between the click and the conversion: a confusing first impression, an unclear offer, a weak call to action, missing proof, a form that asks too much, or a booking and checkout flow that gives people a reason to quit.

Behind the scenes, this is a funnel-aware CRO audit. We evaluate the path from traffic source to landing page to CTA to completed conversion, so recommendations are tied to how visitors actually make decisions, not to someone's design preferences.

Stop guessing why your site is not converting. Get the evidence, the hypotheses, and the test plan in one week.

You will know what is getting in the way, what to fix first, and how to tell if it worked.

What you can act on

A clear picture of where customers are dropping off

We map the pages and steps that matter most, from the first visit through the lead form, booking flow, or checkout. You will see the conversion path in plain language, including where the experience creates confusion or friction.

Professionally, we review the full funnel, available analytics, traffic sources, desktop and mobile experience, and the handoffs between each conversion step.

A prioritized list, not a pile of opinions

You will receive a ranked set of recommended improvements, with the likely business impact and the reason each item matters. That means your team can start with the changes most likely to earn their place.

Each recommendation becomes a structured hypothesis and is ICE-scored for Impact, Confidence, and Ease. The highest-leverage work rises to the top.

How we make it credible

A plan for what to test and what to fix now

Some problems are obvious enough to repair immediately. Others need a controlled test. We separate the two so you do not waste time testing a clearly broken experience or rolling out a change based on a hunch.

Your audit includes quick wins plus up to three test designs, with a primary metric, guardrails, minimum detectable effect, estimated sample needs when data allows, and a defined decision rule.

An honest view of what the data can and cannot prove

You will not get false certainty. If analytics, heatmaps, conversion tracking, or traffic volume are missing, we will say exactly what that limits and what can still be decided from the evidence available.

This keeps the audit useful for businesses that are ready for A/B testing and for businesses where the right next move is a high-confidence direct improvement.

Your finished deliverable is a CRO Audit + Test Plan with an executive summary, audit findings, ICE-ranked hypotheses, top test designs, quick wins, data gaps, and a recommended action sequence.
How the Audit Works

A practical process built to replace guesswork.

01

Audit

First, we find the places your site is making the sale harder.

We review the key pages and conversion steps for clarity, trust, urgency, calls to action, form friction, checkout or booking obstacles, and mobile parity.

MethodWe apply a seven-dimension heuristic review: 5-second value proposition, above-the-fold hierarchy, CTA strength, social proof, friction and forms, funnel-stage matching, and mobile experience.

02

Hypothesize

Then, we turn each meaningful finding into a specific idea worth proving.

Instead of saying β€œmake this better,” we state what should change, who it should help, and why it should improve the outcome.

MethodEvery hypothesis follows an observation β†’ change β†’ predicted outcome β†’ mechanism structure and is ranked using ICE scoring: Impact, Confidence, and Ease.

03

Test Design

Next, we show you how to learn before you spend time or money rolling out the wrong fix.

You will know which changes deserve a test, which can ship now, and what success should look like.

MethodFor the highest-priority opportunities, we define the control and variant, primary metric, guardrail metrics, minimum detectable effect, traffic and sample requirements, duration, and relevant audience segments.

04

Decision Rules

Finally, we agree on what the result means before anyone gets attached to it.

That protects your team from declaring a win because a change looks good, or from discarding a good idea too early.

MethodEach test gets pre-committed rules to ship, kill, or extend. A change ships only when it clears the agreed threshold and does not damage guardrail metrics.

Choose the scope that matches your conversion path.

We Ran This On Our Own Site First

In progress

Before we offered this to a single client, we pointed the audit at ourselves. Here's what we found, honestly:

Our homepage headline lands ("Your Competitors Have an Agency. You Have a CMO with Superpowers"), but there was no button in the hero. A visitor ready to act had to scroll halfway down a long page to find a way to do it. On our Smart Sites page, the same pattern: a strong closing offer ("Thirty Minutes. No Pitch.") with no button attached to it. The highest-intent moments on the page were dead ends.

These are the exact friction points we find on almost every client site we audit, because the people who build websites focus on what to say, not on what to make the visitor do next. We found ours. We're fixing them. And we built this service from the experience.

Full internal audit: homepage and Smart Sites each scored an 8.7 ICE priority on the missing-CTA fix. Test plans are live.

FAQ

Common Questions

What is CRO?

CRO means Conversion Rate Optimization: improving the parts of your website that turn visitors into leads, bookings, or sales, so more of the traffic you already have becomes real business. It is not cosmetic redesign for its own sake. It is a disciplined process of finding friction, forming evidence-based hypotheses, testing meaningful changes when traffic supports it, and keeping only what improves the outcome.

Do I need a lot of traffic for this to be worthwhile?

No. The audit is valuable even if you do not have enough traffic for a reliable A/B test. We will identify high-confidence quick wins you can implement directly and tell you honestly which ideas need more data before they can be tested. For businesses with enough volume, we design the test around your traffic and conversion baseline rather than pretending every site can produce a fast, statistically meaningful result.

Is this a website redesign?

No. This is a diagnostic and action plan. If the evidence points to design changes, we will specify the conversion problem those changes must solve. The focus is improving the path to a lead, booking, or sale, not changing the look of your site for its own sake.

What will you need from us?

At minimum, we need your website URL, the pages or flow you want audited, your primary conversion goal, an estimate of traffic or GA4 access, and your main traffic sources. Heatmaps, session recordings, past tests, and customer feedback are helpful if you have them.

What happens after the audit?

You can have your team implement the quick wins and test plan, ask Wise Roots to support the work, or add the $750/month CRO Test Execution Retainer to keep the learning cycle moving. The audit stands on its own either way.

How quickly will we receive it?

Expect delivery in about 5 to 7 business days after we receive the necessary intake and access.

Your website should do more than collect clicks.
